ANA MARIA YAJAMIN DEL CASTILLO

Ana (30 years old) has three children whom she cares for on her own. She has two sons and a daughter: Ian (11 years old), Dorian (5 years old), and Dafne (8 months old). Ana lives with a friend in Quito who has also taken in Ana’s children after unfortunate circumstances arose in her family about a year ago.

Ana works hard throughout the week to generate an income to support her children, however, finding a job that will provide for the family financially while also leaving Ana quality time with her kids has proven to be difficult. The two boys attend school during the day, with Ian in sixth grade and Dorian in pre-school. Despite going through difficult situations, both boys attend school regularly.  However, obtaining school supplies is not always possible as Ana has many bills to pay and a small income. Ian, the oldest son, also requires consistent medical appointments for his vision problems.

‘Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God,’(Hebrews 13:16). This verse is a great reminder of how we are called to help others in our walk with God. It is an invitation to show those who have fallen under difficult circumstances that God walks with them too. Please consider helping this family financially and with prayers.
