Keidymar is a 24-year-old Venezuelan woman and mother of three young children (6, 3, and 1 year old). After migrating to Ecuador due to the humanitarian crisis and recently separating from her children’s father, she faces raising them alone, without support networks or economic stability. She lives in a shared room with another mother, and before receiving help, each family only had one bed, making it difficult for everyone to rest properly. Her income comes from informal work, such as selling desserts or wrapping fruit at markets, earning around $120 per month.
Keidymar learned about Pan de Vida through a friend, and since then, she has begun receiving support that has transformed her life. The foundation has provided her with hygiene kits, diapers, clothing for her children, priority medical care, and they were also given a bunk bed with mattresses, giving the children a dignified and comfortable space to rest. She also regularly participates in the Sunday hot meal program, where she receives a plate of food and a space for spiritual growth.
Despite the challenges, Keidymar is a dedicated and motivated mother, with skills in baking and an entrepreneurial spirit, always striving to improve her situation. From the foundation, we will continue supporting and accompanying her so that she and her children can build a more stable and dignified life.
