LAURA RAMOS ARIAS – LIFE FARM

Laura Ramos Arias is 38 years old and is an indigenous woman from the community of Trojaloma. She got to know the foundation thanks to Laura Ajala, one of our champions, who told her about the program. Motivated by the opportunity, Laura decided to get involved and start learning. Today, she has her own multiplication life farm and has participated in the Seedbed Workshop, as well as contributing to the creation of other life farms. All this learning has been of great help to her and her family, allowing her to grow food and share her knowledge with her community.

Laura is the mother of five children, with the oldest being 15 years old and the youngest only 1 year old. At the moment, she is going through a complicated situation at home, as her oldest daughter brought her boyfriend to live with them. This has created additional difficulties, as her house is small and resources are limited. Her husband works in construction, but the income is not always sufficient, so Laura also makes rags to clean cars to help improve the family economy.

Over the years, Laura has faced other challenges, especially related to her husband’s alcoholism problems, which negatively affected the harmony of their home. However, a neighbor invited her to attend a nearby evangelical church, and since Laura and her husband began attending with their children, the situation has improved. Their relationship has been strengthened and, little by little, peace and harmony have returned to their home.

In addition, Laura continues to learn and grow through Pan de Vida’s devotionals and community development workshops. These spaces have allowed her not only to strengthen her faith, but also to acquire new skills that have helped her face the challenges of her daily life. Thanks to what she has learned at the foundation, Laura feels more empowered, secure and confident that, with effort and faith, she can overcome any obstacle. She is deeply grateful for the support she has received and continues to move forward with determination and hope on her journey.
