Rosa Ana Cacuango, a 41-year-old single mother from Ecuador, lives with her four children: Alexis, José, Jhon, and Efraín. Efraín is completely physically disabled and unable to eat, speak, or play on his own. The family faces many difficulties, living in a small house without hot water and with a shared outdoor bathroom. Their only income is a disability benefit that Efrain receives. Still, Rosa Ana is dedicated to taking care of her children. Completely on her own, she cooks, cleans, and teaches for her children as well as bringing Efraín to therapy.
Since 2023, when Rosa Ana’s situation was assessed by the social work department, she has received invaluable support from Pan de Vida. This support has been a true blessing. Through Pan De Vida, God touched all their hearts. Rosa Ana has received medical exams, medicines, business training, food, clothing, a laptop, a printer for her children, and other forms of assistance.
Pan De Vida also made a special donation to repair the wheels of Efraín’s, Rosa Ana’s youngest son’s, wheelchair. This greatly improved his mobility and his quality of life. This was extremely significant to Rosa Ana, who said that without this help, Efraín’s situation would have been very difficult. God used Pan De Vida to show love to this family in their time of need. Thanks to this support, Rosa Ana is determined to keep working to create a good life for her children and herself, holding God’s hand the whole time.
