Laura Ajala

In the community of Trojaloma, Laura Ajala is a true example of commitment, generosity, and love for her people. This 41-year-old Indigenous woman, mother of two, began her journey with Pan de Vida in March 2024, when she received a multiplication Life Farm. Since then, her dedication and responsibility led her, by August of the same year, to have her Life Farm promoted to an ideal one. Today, Laura manages a larger space, growing a variety of vegetables and raising chicks.

Her spirit of solidarity goes far beyond her own Life Farm. Laura shares seeds and chicks with other families, fostering a genuine chain of support within the community. In addition, we have reactivated her seed bank, and she actively participates in the germination of seedlings—teaching and sharing her knowledge with those who are learning.

Laura’s home has become an open space for workshops and training sessions, reflecting her willingness to help, learn, and teach others. She is always seeking new ways to contribute and stays attentive to the families who have Life Farms in the community, becoming what we proudly call a true champion of the community Life Farms program.

Laura’s story shows how commitment, kindness, and responsibility not only transform a Life Farm but also strengthen and unite an entire community, demonstrating the positive impact one person can have when they choose to care, share, and teach.
