MARGARITA ISAMA BURGA

Margarita Isama Burga is 41 years old and is the mother of five wonderful children, aged 17, 14, 13, 12, and 10, who are studying in Otavalo and Calpaquí. She lives with her husband, a bricklayer, and together they have worked hard to build a better future for their families.

Margarita is a homemaker and works in agriculture, always seeking ways to support her children and provide for their needs. Thanks to God, they have their own house, a place they have turned into a true home.

On August 23, 2024, she received a basic Huerto de Vida (Life farm) from the Pan de Vida Foundation, an opportunity that has been an invaluable gift. She learned about the Foundation through her neighbor, Mrs. Vicenta Burga, and she is deeply grateful for the support they have received. The implementation of the seedling workshops has transformed their view of food and agriculture. Now, not only do they grow their own food, but they have also learned to appreciate the importance of caring for the land and working together as a family.

Her entire family attends the Israel church in Espejo, where they have found a community and faith that strengthens them. The Foundation’s help has not only impacted their economy but has also strengthened their family bonds and brought them closer to God.

Margarita says that with each seed they plant, they see hope for a prosperous future for their children. As Philippians 4:19 says: “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” With the help of the Foundation, she is confident that they are on the right path.
